On 1 January 2026, ADF attacked FARDC positions and civilians in three villages approximately 7 kilometers west of Manguredjpa (Bapere, Lubero, Nord-Kivu). ADF killed 15 to 30 people, including 2 FARDC, with at least 9 fatalities in Kilonge, 3 in Maendeleo, and 2 in Katanga. 19 houses were set on fire in Katanga and Maendeleo. Several people were injured and disappeared. ADF did not suffer any fatalities.
