Three civilians were killed when the military attacked villages in Wetlet Township with drones and heavy weapons, and a ground column burned down Ywar Thit Village.
In Sagaing Region’s Wetlet Township, three civilians were killed when the junta forces attacked villages using drones and heavy weapons, and their ground troops continued by raiding and burning down Ywar Thit Village, according to Ko Mon Taing, an official from the Wetlet Informational Network, who spoke to Yangon Khit Thit News.
In the afternoon of January 20, the junta column stationed near Thonebo and Shar Kwe villages in the northeastern part of Wetlet Township entered Ywar Thit Village and set fire to civilian homes twice. The number of houses destroyed by the fires could not yet be confirmed, and residents were fleeing to safe areas to escape the attacks.
