A local source reported that an office of the People’s Defense Force (PDF) under the National Unity Government (NUG) in Mawlu Township, Sagaing Region, was hit by an airstrike the day before yesterday, resulting in the deaths of four PDF members and one member of the Kachin Independence Army (KIA).

At around 11 p.m. on January 21, a fighter jet dropped two bombs on a PDF office located near Man Hae village, about four miles from Mawlu town.

One of the bombs struck the office directly, killing four PDF members and one KIA soldier who were inside at the time, according to a local man from Mawlu who is close to the PDF group.
