Locals report that a People’s Defense Force (PDF) camp in eastern Kawlin Township, northern Sagaing Region, came under attack yesterday by aircraft and suicide drones, resulting in the deaths of eight PDF members and leaving another seriously injured.

At about 2 p.m. on January 20, a fighter jet bombed the PDF camp located near Padonma Village, roughly 30 miles northeast of Kawlin town, followed by attacks carried out using three suicide drones.

A PDF member based in the area said the drone assault was highly accurate and intense, causing significant casualties.
