Five officers—two police officers and three marines—were injured after being attacked with a corrosive substance during a domestic violence operation in Villa de Álvarez, Colima. The assailant threw the chemical when the officers responded to a home to rescue a woman who was being assaulted. The injured officers were taken to a hospital, and the alleged perpetrator was arrested. The investigation is ongoing.
