On 15 January 2026, in Yae Lel Maw village (Wetlet township, Shwebo district, Sagaing region), the Myanmar military from Singu and Madaya townships fired artillery rounds into the village at around 3 pm. At least 15 shells landed in the village, killing 3 civilians (a man and a woman aged around 40, and a 30-year-old woman). 3 fatalities.
