On 31 December 2025, in Dawei town (Dawei township, Dawei district, Tanintharyi region), unidentified local defense forces conducted drone strikes on Myanmar military troops stationed at the Tanintharyi regional government building, the Dawei district police chief office, and the Kan Nar street at about 8 am. Casualties unknown.
