On 31 December 2025, between Win Pyan and Ah Lu Lay villages (coded as Win Pyan) (Bilin township, Thaton district, Mon state), four members of the People's Defense Force - Thaton District (PaKaPha) attacked Myanmar military troops from LIB-3 using small and heavy weapons as they were traveling towards Ah Lu Lay village to patrol the area at about 6:45 am. Mizzima reported that at least 3 military troops, including a deputy battalion commander, were killed, while Democratic Voice of Burma reported that 17 military troops were killed. Fatalities coded as 3, using the lowest estimates.
