On 31 December 2025, in Leik Kya village (Thabeikkyin township, Pyinoolwin district, Mandalay region), the Myanmar military reported that they had regained control of the village in a Counter-Terrorism Operation (CTO). The village had been seized by the People's Defense Force (PDF). It is unknown when the PDF took control of the village.
