On 31 December 2025, in Filo El Gringo (El Tarra, Norte de Santander), for the second consecutive day, ELN members clashed with members of the 33rd FARC dissident front. During the fighting, which included rifle fire and explosives dropped from drones, the local hospital was struck by an explosive device, leaving five people injured, including two minors. Local healthcare personnel requested to be evacuated from the area due to the intensity of the fighting. There were no fatalities.
