On 31 December 2025, members of the Ruruot section of the Gok/Gak Dinka community clashed with the Waat sub-section of the Macar section of the Gok/Gak Dinka at their regular interception point in Citcok Payam (Cueibet County, Lakes State), resulting in 2 fatalities on both sides. The clash occurred despite ongoing peace initiatives in Cueibet town.
