On 30 December 2025, in Kenscoff - Fermathe, Ouest, overnight, an armed man shot and killed a police officer in front of the Sheeshee's Food Club, near the Lotin sub-police station (in Fermathe, near the Fort-Jacques area), where he was on-duty. The officer was a police inspector and the leader of a self-defense group from Fort-Jacques. He was known for his engagement in resistance against the Kraze Barye Gang. The attacker was later identified as the owner of the club. The police arrested the brother-in-law of the suspect. The motivation for the attack is unknown. 1 fatality.
