An unexploded ordnance caused the death of an eight-year-old boy in Ann Township, Rakhine State.

According to Arakan Princess Media (APM), the child who passed away has been recognized as eight-year-old Maung Min Htet, residing in Out Ywa (Sei Sai Kone) within Ann Township.

On January 19, at approximately 4:30 pm, the boy visited a banana field close to his village to gather a bunch of bananas. A family member later reported that he was found deceased due to an explosion from an unexploded remnant of war.
