On 29 December 2025, five members of one group from the Thakur community shot at and killed a person from the Patel (Kurmi) community with firearms in Kota village under Rajnagar police station (Chhatarpur district, Madhya Pradesh) over a land dispute. One person killed. This led to a demonstration (coded separately).
