On 29 December 2025, ENDF, Amhara regional riot police, and Kebele militia clashed with Fano in Mahdere Mariam (Farta, South Gondar, Amhara) and Megenteya Kebele in Farta Woreda (coded separately), leading to the killings of forces on both sides. The state security forces initiated the clash as part of their operation to control the Fano forces operating in the area. The clash intensified with Fano's counteroffensive strikes. Unspecified number of fatalities coded as 3, split across the two locations, and coded as 2 for this event.
