On 29 December 2025, a remote-controlled IED planted by Islamic State Somalia Province exploded targeting Puntland Dervish Force in Bakhtiweyne area within the Buuraha Cali Miskat (Qandala, Bari). Several soldiers were injured, and the vehicle was damaged.
