On 29 December 2025, overnight, Al Shabaab clashed with government security forces (SNA) at checkpoint in Indhafiiq area in Hawlwadag neighborhood and Lamagalaay neighborhood in Belet Weyne town (Belet Weyne, Hiraan). The clash was initiated with RPGs. Al Shabaab claimed to have injured soldiers.
