On 29 December 2025, unknown armed groups from displaced communities (coded as unidentified armed group) in Unity State, now living in Lakes State, clashed with organized forces (coded as SSPDF) in a remote area along the Yirol-Rumbek Road in Aluak-Luak Payam (Yirol West County, Lakes State), resulting in 2 fatalities and 3 injuries. The perpetrators raided cattle and abducted 2 people, who were later released. Efforts to recover the cattle were successful.
