On 29 December 2025, JNIM released a statement saying that the Malian army carried out two drone attacks (likely drones rigged with IED, based on the statement) on the market in Toumouni, east of Dogofri (Dogofry, Niono, Segou). These attacks resulted in the destruction of the market and significant damage to residents' properties. JNIM released photographs of the scene, depicting the remains of the market. Casualties unknown.
