On 28 December 2025, near Ma Li Wan village (Kawthoung township, Kawthoung district, Tanintharyi region), a combined force of the Swallow LPDF, the People's Defense Force - Kawthoung (PaKaPha), and the Kawthoung Township Tiger Urban Guerrilla Force attacked over 30 Myanmar military troops traveling in a vessel and four motorboats at around 8 am as they were traveling to provide security to the election. The two sides then exchanged fire for around three hours, and the military fired artillery rounds during the clash. Several military troops sustained injuries. There were no fatalities.
