On 28 December 2025, in Dawei town (Dawei township, Dawei district, Tanintharyi region), an unidentified armed group conducted drone strikes on the regional government building at about 8 am, damaging the main building. According to the DVB, a military sergeant was killed, and a staff officer from the Immigration Department and a police sub-inspector were injured. 1 fatality.
