On 28 December 2025, in Chaung Kaung village (Paukkhaung township, Pyay district, Bago-West region), the combined troops of the People's Defense Force - Pyay District Battalion - 2 Company - 3 and the People's Defense Force - Pyay District Battalion - 1 Company - 3 attacked around 50 Myanmar military soldiers stationed near Aye pagoda around 10:15 am. The armed clash lasted around 15 minutes. 4 military soldiers were killed and 2 were injured. 4 fatalities.
