On 28 December 2025, in Maungdaw township (Maungdaw district, Rakhine state), a mine exploded and injured a 25-year-old man when he stepped on the mine planted by an unknown armed group near the No.50 milestone of the Myanmar-Bangladesh border while going to catch wild chickens. He lost his left leg.
