On 28 December 2025, in Agua Branca (Piaui), two unidentified armed suspects shot and killed a man in the Portelinha neighbourhood. The suspects arrived at the location on a motorcycle and broke into the victim's house looking for his brother, who has a police record (charges unspecified). The suspects fired against the victim and escaped immediately. Police are investigating if the perpetrators mistook the victim by his brother. The authorship and motivations are unknown. 1 fatality.
