Tonight, October 9, in the Chernihiv region, an explosion occurred at the sixth military arsenal near the village of Ichnya. This was reported by the press service of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
So, it is reported that the explosion occurred on the technical territory.
According to the head of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine Mykola Chechetkin, which he posted on his Facebook page, the territory of the 6th arsenal is about 682.6 hectares, of which the technical territory is 402 hectares. The evacuation of the population from the zone of possible destruction was organized. Vehicles were involved in the evacuation. About 10 thousand people were evacuated.
In addition, airspace within a radius of 30 km has been closed since 04:22. The movement of rail and road transport is suspended.
