On 28 December 2025, overnight, a Burkinabe armed group entered the border area and was repelled by the Ivorian military after heading toward Nepredoi, near Bave (Tehini, Bounkani, Zanzan). They quickly retreated toward Burkina Faso and abandoned 2 motorcycles and 2 Kalashnikov rifles. Motive unknown.
