Around 1 p.m. today, a military fighter jet bombed gold mining operations near the Thaphan Seik Dam area in the western part of Kyunhla Township.

According to locals, four men were killed instantly when the bombs struck, and several gold-mining rafts caught fire, forcing operations to shut down.
