On 27 December 2025, near Yu Mar village (Hpakant township, Mohnyin district, Kachin state), a combined force of the Kachin Independence Army (KIO/KIA) and allies fired heavy weapons into the outpost of the Myanmar military. In response, the Myanmar military fired back with heavy weapons. One of the heavy weapons landed on a petrol station. A civilian was killed. 1 fatality.
