On 27 December 2025, near Myay Ni Sho village (Khin-U township, Shwebo district, Sagaing region), the Myanmar military conducted airstrikes on a line of cars that were stuck in the Shwe-Myitkyina road section using a jet fighter and a Mi-35 jet at around 12:30 pm. Some shops and 9 cars were destroyed. Democratic Voice of Burma reported that 3 civilians (2 men and a woman) were killed and more than 20 others were injured. Shwe Phee Myay News Agency, Khit Thit Media, Irrawaddy and Myanmar Now reported that 9 civilians were killed. Fatalities coded as 3, using the lowest estimate.
