On 27 December 2025, BLF militants attacked a military convoy providing protection to vehicles linked to the Saindak copper-gold project on the RCD Highway at Bethagu Cross in Surab district (Kalat, Balochistan), after militants had established road block and conducted snap checking. BLF claim five military personnel were killed and several others were wounded. Fatalities uncorroborated with 5 fatalities coded.
