SAA event in Chiapas, Villaflores area, Mexico on Sat 27th December 2025

On 27 December 2025, in Villaflores, Chiapas, members of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) driving cloned military pickups burned La Kabala and Anubis's bars and abducted eight people, including the owners of both establishments and their employees. The fire caused burns to three women. On 28 December, the authorities searched a safe house where they arrested seven gang members, released one of the victims and found the dead body of one of the bar owners, who had been shot. He was recognized as a former drug dealer who had been released in November 2025. On 29 December, the authorities arrested four other gang members and found the dead bodies of the remaining six victims with gunshot wounds, piled up and with the hands tied in the town of Santa Julia, in the municipality of Cintalapa. According to the authorities, this attack responded to a dispute over drug trafficking. 7 fatalities, 3 injured.
