On 27 December 2025, in Port of Spain, Port of Spain, overnight, two armed men chased and shot and killed a street vendor man near his stall on Charlotte Street. Two civilians who were walking nearby were shot and injured. One was identified as a female street vendor. The targeted victim was known to police, although his criminal affiliation was not clarified. He was also former football player. The attackers fled the scene in a waiting vehicle. The police suspect that the killing could spark reprisal attacks, while some residents suggested that the shooting was gang-related. 1 fatality, 2 injured.
