On 27 December 2025, in Santiago de Cali - Comuna 21 (Valle del Cauca), unidentified individuals opened fire on a former FARC member and journalist while he was parking his vehicle outside his home in the Decepaz neighborhood. The victim managed to evade the attack and was unharmed. He stated that he has received death threats since 2023. There is no further information on the motives or perpetrators of the attack. There were no casualties.
