On 27 December 2025, clashes between SAF, backed by Darfur Joint Forces/JSAMF, and RSF continued in Dankoj (Sheikan, North Kordofan), with SAF drone strikes and artillery shelling being reported. Conflicting reports claimed that RSF gained control of the area for less than a day before SAF regained control. A large number of SAF mobilized from El Obeid to the area, an unspecified number of SAF and JSAMF were killed, and SAF claimed it killed a large number of RSF. Unspecified number of RSF fatalities coded as 10, and unspecified number of SAF fatalities coded as 3. Total fatalities coded as 13 (10 RSF + 3 SAF).
