On 27 December 2025, an IED planted by suspected Boko Haram (JAS) exploded after a commercial vehicle triggered it between the villages of Pulka and Warabe, coded to the nearest village, Warabe (Gwoza, Borno). The explosion killed 1 person and injured 6 others.
