On 26 December 2025, in Hakha town (Hakha township, Hakha district, Chin state), a combined force of the Chinland Defense Force - Hakha and allies attacked the base of the Myanmar military (IB-266) at around 6:30 am. In response, the Myanmar military fired back. The Myanmar military also conducted airstrikes using Y-12 jets and jet fighters during the armed clash. The Chinland Defense Force - Hakha seized 8 guns. 15 Myanmar military soldiers were killed. Chinland Defense Force - Hakha members were also killed in the fighting, but the exact number is unknown. 18 fatalities (15 for Myanmar military soldiers and 3 for unknown members of Chinland Defense Force - Hakha).
