On 26 December 2025, in Ta Khun Taing village (Aunglan township, Thayet district, Magway region), around 30 Myanmar military troops raided the village around 7 am and shot and killed a 20-year-old man as he tried to flee when the military troops tried to arrest him. The military troops arrested seven men and took them to the LIB-71 based in Aunglan township. 6 of them were released in the evening of 26 December, as they were elderly men. An 18-year-old man was still being detained and kept in the No.15 defense industry. Locals claimed that he might be being detained for forced military conscription. 1 fatality.
