On 26 December 2025, a Palestinian militant from the West Bank carried out an attack in multiple locations in northern Israel, including in Afula (Yizreel, HaZafon), where he arrived by car after conducting attacks in Bet Shean and Ein Harod, and exited his car to hit a civilian in the head with a stone an injure him. An armed civilian security guard shot and wounded the militant in Afula, and he was eventually arrested.
