On 26 December 2025, outside Trujillo, Colon, several unidentified armed men shot and killed two men who were traveling on a motorcycle at night in the aldea Monte Cristo. The attackers intercepted the victims and fired multiple times before fleeing the scene. One of the victims was identified while the second remains unidentified. Police initiated an investigation, but no suspects have been identified. The motive is unknown. 2 fatalities.
