On 26 December 2025, ISIL cells targeted a customs police patrol on the Aleppo-Ar Raqqa road (coded to Maskana), injuring three personnel who were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment. Some sources claimed the perpetrators were unknown armed men. There were no fatalities.
