Air Delivered event in Wadi Fira, Tine Military Camp area, Chad on Fri 26th December 2025

On 26 December 2025, before dawn, an armed group (likely RSF due to their attacks on Dar Zaghawa areas in northwestern Sudan in the past weeks) launched a drone strike against the Chadian military in the bordering areas near Tine-Djagaraba, in Tine Military Camp (Iriba, Wadi Fira). Some sources claimed the deaths of 2 soldiers and the serious injury of another one. Other sources mentioned the death of three soldiers. 2 fatalities coded, as per the lowest estimate available. Following the strike, the Chief of Staff of the Chadian army confirmed the death of two soldiers and condemned the violation of Chadian sovereignty. Later, the Sudanese army expressed its condolences, accusing the Rapid Support Forces of the strike as an attempt to destabilize the area. Following the allegations, the RSF published a communique denying their involvement in the attack.
