On 25 December 2025, gunmen affiliated with the Hadramawt Protection Forces ambushed a convoy of STC Security Support Forces (coded as generic STC forces) from the 2nd Military Region clashing with them in the Wadi Khird region (Ash Shihr, Hadramawt). The clashes involved various types of weapons, and resulted in several fatalities and injuries. There were also 6 civilian injuries. Unspecified fatalities coded as 3. According to the Hadramawt Tribal Alliance, the clashes with the STC forces was provoked by the latter's attack on the region.
