Around 25 December 2025, a drug suspect was shot in a vigilante-style attack by unidentified assailants and was found dead in Barangay Guimbangco-an (Sibonga, Cebu, Central Visayas). Police found a used bullet at the area where the body was discovered and suspected that a firearm was used in the killing. The exact time and place of the killing are unknown. The motive for the attack was unclear.
