On 25 December 2025, in Ambato (Tungurahua), three unidentified armed individuals shot and killed a man on Urdaneta Avenue and Pichincha Baja Street, in the south of the city. The assailants were walking along the street, and one of them opened fire on the victim, who had a record for robbery. 1 fatality.
