On 25 December 2025, two Thai soldiers were injured after stepping on a PMN-2 anti-personnel landmine, planted by suspected Cambodian military forces, during mine-clearing operations in Ta Kwai temple in Bak Dai, Phanom Dong Rak (Surin). One soldier sustained severe injuries to his left leg, while the other suffered chest tightness and hearing impairment from blast pressure.
