On 25 December 2025, Asayish checkpoint members shot and killed a young man in Jadid Bakkara town in Deir ez Zor countryside, because he refused to stop at the checkpoint. This was following a security report stating that the car the young man was driving had been stolen from Al Kasra town. 1 fatality.
