On 25 December 2025, Suri Pastoralist militias (who came from Suri woreda and herded their cattle to the mining sites) clashed with ENDF and Kebele militias in Gebisa, Bero (Mirab Omo, South West), after the pastoralist militias rounded up and attacked a gold mine exploration company site. 1 assistant truck driver was killed, and another mining company employee was injured.
