On 25 December 2025, ENDF, supported by tanks, artillery, and drone strikes, clashed with Fano around Dibil, Ambasel (South Wello, Amhara), resulting in an unknown number of fatalities and injuries on both sides. The fighting erupted when ENDF launched a large-scale mechanized operation advancing from Wuchale and Marye toward Dibil kebele, where it was engaged by Fano forces. Unspecified number of fatalities coded as 10.
