On 25 December 2025, Nigerian troops engaged a Plateau militia in a firefight, killing 1 militant in the Gwande community, coded to its district, Manguna (Bokkos, Plateau). The militia was planning an attack on neighboring communities when the troops attacked its members. The troops recovered a fabricated revolver rifle, a fabricated pistol, nine rounds of 7.62mm ammunition, and six cartridges.
