On 25 December 2025, JNIM militants attacked a convoy of fuel trucks escorted by the Malian army and Africa Corps between Bamako and Bougouni, coded to Ouelessebougou (Ouelessebougou, Kati, Koulikoro), a midpoint on the road between the two locations. A number of fuel trucks were burned by the militants. Casualties unknown.
